Semen samples must be collected by masturbation following a period of sexual abstinence of 2–7 days. Before collection, the patient should wash and thoroughly dry the genital area and empty the bladder. The entire ejaculate must be collected in a pre-barcoded, sterile, screw-capped plastic container provided by the center. Sample collection must be carried out within the center premises, and the specimen should be submitted to the laboratory within 30 minutes of collection. Submission of a valid government-issued photo ID proof is mandatory for test registration and processing.
